How to Measure a Torah for a New Mantel

1.OVERALL WIDTH
Measure the total width from outside edge to outside edge, when the Torah is fully closed.

2. ROLLER GAP WIDTH
Measure the gap between the rollers, right at the top, when the Torah is fully closed.

3. PARCHMENT HEIGHT
Open the Torah scroll and measure from top to bottom of the open parchment.

4. PLATE TO PLATE HEIGHT
Measure the height from the outer top plate to the outer bottom plate.

5. PLATE DIAMETER
Measure the diameter of the plate from edge to edge.

6. HANDLE DIAMETER
Measure the diameter of the handle from edge to edge.
